Twisted Christmas Tree Puff Pastry

'Tis the season for easy festive snacks!

Christmas magic is in the air and it’s never too early to put yourself in the holiday spirit. This Christmas tree is a beautiful and great festive holiday appetizer and will definitely keep you and your family merry.

Prep time

10 minutes

Total time

35 minutes

  • 1 sheet of flaky puff pastry, thawed
  • 2 chubs of Plantcraft pâté
  • Vegan shredded cheese
  • Plant-based milk for brushing

Thaw the puff pastry at room temperature. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Place the pastry sheet on the baking paper. Using a sharp knife, starting from the centre, cut each side downwards to the corners of the sheet to form a triangle. Lay the extra puff pastry aside. Poke the pâté chub with a knife and squeeze and spread the pâté onto the sheet.

Sprinkle with vegan shredded cheese and cover it with the excess pastry. Cut 3/4 inch wide strips to create the tree branches and twist each branch 3-4 times. Brush with plant-based milk and bake for about 20 minutes or until golden brown.
